WATER WELLS IN CAMBODIA

WATER WELLS IN CAMBODIA

In January and February of 2022, VegVoyages Foundation has helped to provide freshwater wells to families struggling to make ends meet in rural, economically disadvantaged areas in Cambodia.  To date, we’ve managed to put in freshwater wells for 5 different families.

By providing reliable sources of clean water, we aim to promote better health outcomes, prevents waterborne diseases, and improve overall sanitation and hygiene practices. We are hopeful that this has empowered the families and the local communities by eliminating the need to travel long distances for water, fostering self-sufficiency and resilience.

Access to clean water is not just limited to basic needs of an individual but also connected to sustainable development as it enhances agricultural productivity, supports livelihoods, and drives economic growth. Through our effort to promote social equality and inclusion by building water wells, we hope that the community receives an improved quality of life, and a brighter future.

REUSABLE BAGS IN CAMBODIA

With an initiative to reduce single-use plastic in the villages near Siem Reap, we distributed reusable tote bags to the local communities, providing them with a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic bags. We are aware of the environmental impact of plastic waste and throughout our projects, we promote the adoption of eco-friendly practices.

By donating these tote bags, we encouraged individuals to make a conscious choice to reduce plastic consumption and contribute to a cleaner and greener environment. Together, with the support of our partners, Shinta Mani Foundation in Cambodia and Paul fromVegan Food Quest, we took a significant step towards reducing single-use plastic and promoting a more sustainable future for the communities near Siem Reap.
