As a part of giving back to the community, we have an ongoing After-School Classes Project in Cambodia in collaboration with Shinta Mani Foundation, special thanks to Miss Chhunnin and Nureak. With an aim to strengthen the students the English language skills from disadvantaged communities in Rural Cambodia, we have incorporated ideas and concepts of conscious living, compassion, animal welfare, conservation, recycling and environment protection, and better health (personal and planet) in a separate curriculum (English Activity Book) named ‘Compassionate Citizens of the Future’ designed by our hard-working volunteer team from India namely Nayan, Avantika, Ritambhara, Rucha, Nitai, Julie Wayne, Subhash, Climate Save India and others.

In addition to interactive and informative English Activity Book, there is a nutrition guide and memory games relating to nutrition made by team of Marly Wrinckler, Milena Dias and the team for designing nutrition guide for Students. We believe that good quality education should not only focus on books, but just as importantly on COMPASSION also.

We have started the afterschool classes two schools in Cambodia with 35 children aged between 8 and 14 years attending. We also built a brand-new school classroom and library where 58 more children will be attending. We have built a library for the students, installed filters, made toilets, marbled the floor, printed out the new curriculum books etc for the students. We also took the students to Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary and Phare Circus as a part of extra-curricular activities. We are planning to build more school in other countries as well, with a classroom including
an attached library.

We are also working on books to teach climate change and compassion to the students.

Update from AfterSchool Classes, the students are understanding the book easily, and have reached to page 15 of Compassionate Curriculum.

We are delighted to announce the completion of our latest project for the After-School Classes in Cambodia, where we have breathed new life into schools through captivating murals. Our dedicated local team consisting of artist, volunteers, and supporters have transformed the learning environment with vibrant artworks that inspire young minds to live compassionately.

These murals depict breathtaking scenes of nature, enchanting animals, empowering messages, and even images from our afterschool curriculum including our very own mascot ‘PEACEFUL’ that cultivates compassion, environmental consciousness, and the pursuit of knowledge. We are hopeful that an immersive and visually stimulating environment will engage the students’ senses and ignites their passion for learning. These artworks pay homage to Cambodia’s rich heritage and most importantly the fellow nonhuman inhabitants, fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation within the school community.

We take immense pride in the profound impact these murals might have on students and anyone who is visiting the school in Cambodia. Through art, we inspire, educate, and uplift young hearts and minds.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our remarkable team in Cambodia, the Vegan Travel Asia Travelers, and those who have donated to us directly and have assisted to make this mural a reality. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for the students of Cambodia.
