Sign me up for another Vegan Travel Asia (VegVoyages). There is nothing to compare! I must say that it is (still) the most exciting and fantastic tour I have been on or could ever dream of!… What filled our souls was the immersion in the images, sounds, colors, smells, people, and life in the real Indian towns, large and small, that Vegan Travel Asia (VegVoyages) shared with us. It is impossible to convey the personal impact of this tour. It was amazing! Thank you so much.

DAY 2 & 3 KISHANGARH

Today, we head off the beaten track into the Rajasthan hinterlands toward the rustic yet charming town of Kishangarh. Traveling through desert back roads, we’ll arrive at our home for the next two nights – the romantic Phool Mahal Palace, built in 1870 as the Royal Family’s monsoon retreat. Nestled beside the serene Gundalao Lake, the palace is surrounded by kites, peacocks, herons, and wild ducks that call this oasis home.

Kishangarh’s massive fort walls and elephant-spiked gates still echo its chivalrous Rajput past, yet this former princely state was equally famous for its patronage of the arts. Here, we’ll be introduced to traditional Rajasthani painting, discovering its symbolism, history, and time-honored techniques.

We’ll also explore the town’s colorful bazaars, narrow lanes, ancient streets, and temples, experiencing the vibrant culture of a kingdom founded in 1611 AD. And of course, we’ll enjoy plenty of delicious local cuisine, all specially veganized just for us.

✨ Highlights of the Day ✨

  • Journey to the Epic Chand Baori: Marvel at India’s deepest and largest stepwell—an ancient architectural masterpiece over 500 years old.

  • Experience a Living Tradition: Become honored guests at a local temple and join the community in their vibrant aarti ceremony, a daily ritual of light, devotion, and music.

Vegan Meals Included Today: Breakfasts (x2), Lunches (x2), and Dinner (x1), and Dinner & Drinks (x1).

What a trip! My daughter and I took the Vegan Travel Asia (VegVoyages) trip to Gujarat (Badlands, Beasts, Temples & Beaches). I had high expectations about going to India (Bucket List place!) and VegVoyages surpassed all of them. The level of detail is so high, each place we stayed was completely unique, we felt that we were part of a family with our guides, the people were warm and friendly, and the food THE FOOD was amazing! Oh yeah, and we saw lions on safari! Really what more can I say? Other than that, it was obvious that within our small group, there were over half that were repeat customers – and that says a lot. I hope to join them and go on another trip within a few years!

DAY 4 & 5 JAIPUR

After a hearty breakfast, we’re off to Jaipur, the legendary Pink City and capital of Rajasthan! Known as the City of Victory, Jaipur has captivated travelers for centuries with its royal tales, vibrant bazaars, and desert landscapes. Founded in the 1700s, yet rooted in history going back to the 12th century, the city was designed using Vastu Shastra, giving it a unique, harmonious layout surrounded by the rugged Aravalli Hills—home to epic walls, palaces, and mighty forts.

Over the next two days, we’ll dive into Jaipur’s rich culture and flavors. We’ll join a local chef to learn how to cook a fragrant, full-course Rajasthani vegan feast, bursting with spices, fresh veggies, and traditional breads. We’ll also visit a remarkable animal hospital that has spent nearly three decades rescuing and caring for abused and neglected animals—a powerful glimpse into the compassion at the heart of Rajasthan.

✨ Highlights of the Day ✨

  • Conquer the Epic Amber Fort: Explore the breathtaking stronghold of Jaipur’s Rajput rulers. Perched high in the rugged Aravalli Hills, this sandstone-and-marble masterpiece blends Hindu and Muslim architecture into a stunning royal fortress.

  • Experience True Rajasthani Hospitality: As honored guests of our local hosts, enjoy refreshing drinks and a vibrant Jaipuri vegan feast crafted with love and tradition.

  • Inspiring Animal Rescue Visit: Meet the heroes working on the frontlines of animal protection in Jaipur and witness their powerful rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

  • Dive Into a Bustling Bazaar: Wander through a lively fruit and vegetable market bursting with color, aromas, and everyday local life.

  • Taste Indo-Chinese Magic: Discover India’s beloved Indo-Chinese cuisine, a flavorful fusion where Chinese techniques meet Indian spices—a tradition born from Calcutta’s early Chinese community.

  • Tour Jaipur’s Royal Icons: Explore the opulent City Palace, the fascinating Jantar Mantar astronomical gardens, and the serene Birla Temple.

  • Cook Your Own Rajasthani Feast: Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on culinary class, learning to prepare a delicious, full-course Rajasthani vegan meal.

Vegan Meals Included Today: Breakfasts (x2), Lunches (x2), Dinner (x1), and Dinner & Drinks (x1).

I went on a phenomenal tour of Rajasthan / India with Vegan Travel Asia (VegVoyages). The guides are friendly, caring, knowledgable, and interesting, the food is delicious and memorable, and the sights are spectacular. We stayed at a number of gorgeous castles during our trip. I cannot imagine a better tour of India! Thank you Sinjee and Zac!

DAY 6 & 7 BHARATPUR & THE TAJ MAHAL

Leaving Jaipur behind, we hit the road for Bharatpur, home to the UNESCO-listed Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary—one of the most extraordinary wildlife havens in India. After checking in and freshening up, we’ll dive straight into the park. With its shimmering wetlands and lush forests, Keoladeo is alive with over 400 species of birds and countless other creatures. As the sun begins to dip, we’ll explore its hidden trails by bicycle, guided by a local naturalist who’ll help us spot the sanctuary’s feathered stars.

The next morning, after a hearty vegan breakfast, we head into Uttar Pradesh for the crown jewel of India: the Taj Mahal. No introduction needed—this iconic white-marble mausoleum, built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved Mumtaz Mahal, is simply breathtaking in person.

After soaking in its beauty, we’ll enjoy delicious South Indian dosas at Agra’s top spot before continuing to the atmospheric ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, once Emperor Akbar’s capital, feels frozen in time—its 16th-century palaces and courtyards standing hauntingly intact.

From Fatehpur Sikri, we return to Bharatpur for some downtime before gathering for our farewell dinner party, celebrating our final night in India together.

✨ Highlights of the Day ✨

  • Descend into the Epic Chand Baoli: Marvel at India’s deepest and largest stepwell—an architectural wonder carved more than 500 years ago, with mesmerising terraces that seem to plunge endlessly into the earth.

  • Wildlife Wonderland at Keoladeo Sanctuary: Explore lush wetlands and forests teeming with life inside this UNESCO-protected bird sanctuary. Home to 366–400+ bird species, including world-famous herons, plus over 27 species of mammals, this is one of India’s richest wildlife hotspots.

  • Witness the Iconic Taj Mahal: Stand before India’s most legendary monument—one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO masterpiece since 1983. Its gleaming marble, symmetry, and artistry make it one of the finest achievements of Islamic architecture.

  • Step Into the Ghost City of Fatehpur Sikri: Wander the remarkably preserved Mughal capital built by Emperor Akbar. With its fusion of Islamic and Hindu design and its World Heritage status, this abandoned 16th-century city feels like walking through history frozen in time.

  • Farewell Celebration: Toast to an unforgettable journey with drinks, snacks, and a lavish vegan Rajasthani feast, featuring all our favorite dishes from the adventure.

Vegan Meals Included Today: Breakfasts (x2), Lunches (x2), Dinner (x1), and Dinner & Drinks (x1).

I sought out Vegan Travel Asia (VegVoyages) because I was looking for a trip I could take where I wouldn’t have to try to explain what a vegan eats in a foreign language and end up starving or getting sick. I went on the 8-day India tour and was blown away. Not only was the food amazing (I was so stuffed the whole time) but the attention to detail from start to finish was above and beyond. There is no way I would have had such a deep cultural experience if I had tried to plan this trip on my own. I was so hooked that I decided to go with them again on the Thailand tour last month. Now I am ruined for life. I don’t think I ever want to travel without them. Good thing for me they have lots more adventures to discover. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. I dare you to be disappointed

DAY 8 DELHI/GURUGRAM

After breakfast, we’ll journey back to Delhi/Gurugram, bringing our incredible adventure to a close. Before we part ways, we’ll savor one last unforgettable vegan lunch together, celebrating the flavors, laughter, and memories we’ve shared. Bahut, bahut dhanyavaad—thank you for choosing Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyagesand for being part of a journey full of discovery, connection, and joy.
