Vegan Cultural Tours Across Asia – Immersive, Ethical, and Off the Beaten Path
At Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages, we believe travel should be more than just sightseeing — it should be a journey of connection, understanding, and transformation. Our vegan adventure tours in Asia are designed to immerse you deeply in the local culture, history, people, and cuisine of every destination.
Off-the-Beaten-Path Vegan Travel Experiences
Our tours are not your typical vacations. We specialize in off-the-beaten-path vegan travel, where cultural immersion, meaningful local interactions, and indulging in authentic vegan cuisine are at the heart of every journey. With a 100% plant-based travel experience, you’ll explore Asia in a way that’s ethical, enriching, and unforgettable.
A Passion-Driven Team Behind Every Tour
Founded by three close friends from three countries and different faiths, our team shares a deep-rooted passion for veganism, animal rights, cultural preservation, environmentalism, and people-centered storytelling. Drawing from over 15 years of experience coordinating film and media projects across South and Southeast Asia, we launched Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages to create meaningful travel experiences that leave a lasting impact.
From Humble Beginnings to 27 Tours Across 9 Countries
We started with just three tours in one country in 2004. Today, we offer up to 27 vegan cultural adventure tours each year across nine incredible countries:
- Bhutan
- Cambodia
- India
- Indonesia (Bali & Sumatra)
- Laos
- Malaysia
- Nepal
- Sri Lanka
- Thailand
Local Expertise. Authentic Experiences.
We only operate in countries where we’ve lived, worked, and built long-standing relationships, allowing us to craft experiences with deep cultural understanding and respect. Whether it’s cooking alongside locals, participating in traditional ceremonies, or enjoying veganized regional specialties, every moment is rooted in genuine connection and purpose.
Our tours typically span 8 to 16 days, with each itinerary unfolding like a story that our guests live. You’ll walk away not only with incredible memories and new friendships but also with a deeper understanding of the cultures, communities, and plant-based traditions that make Asia so unique.
100% Cruelty-Free Vegan Travel – Ethical, Responsible & Immersive
For us, veganism goes far beyond what we eat. It’s a cruelty-free lifestyle and philosophy that stands firmly against the exploitation of all living beings—animals and humans alike. That’s why our tours do not include animal rides, safaris, zoos, animal parks, or any other form of animal entertainment or exploitation.
Since day one, our mission has been to offer completely ethical, vegan adventure tours that are immersive, exciting, and truly compassionate. Every journey with us is designed to be off-the-beaten-path, cruelty-free, and culturally rich, allowing guests to experience Asia in a way that is both meaningful and respectful.
Ethical Vegan Travel with a Purpose
Vegan Travel Asia is deeply committed to responsible travel and giving back to the communities we visit. As part of our founding philosophy, we ensure that our tours benefit not just our guests, but also the people, animals, and environments we connect with.
Through the VegVoyages Foundation (a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit), we support and organize a wide range of grassroots charitable initiatives across Asia, including:
- Partnering with local animal sanctuaries and marine conservation projects
- Supporting community recycling programs and beach cleanups
- Providing school supplies and helping build libraries in rural villages
- Supporting educational programs for underserved communities
- Serving nutritious vegan meals at children’s homes
- Donating books, supplies, and funding for grassroots animal rights and social welfare organizations
Our connection with the communities we visit is real, ongoing, and built on mutual respect. We believe that travel should be a force for good, and our adventures reflect that belief in every detail.
Not Your Typical Tour – Personalized Vegan Adventures
Unlike conventional tour operators, we don’t outsource or hand off our trips. Every Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages tour is personally organized and led by our team, ensuring the highest standards of quality, ethics, and authenticity.
This is not your average vacation package. It’s a journey designed to inspire, educate, and empower—whether you’re exploring sacred temples, enjoying hands-on cooking classes, or learning from local changemakers on the ground.
Unique Accommodations & Authentic Vegan Cuisine – Travel in Comfort, Eat with Purpose
